The VAFA has released the draw for all grades of its competition for 2016 with Fitzroy set to travel away to take on St Bedes/Mentone Tigers on 9 April in round one.
It will be a big year for Fitzroy, marking both 20 years since the club colours have been seen in the AFL and 50 years since the final VFL game at Brunswick Street Oval.
You can see the full Seniors and Reserves draw on the VAFA website.
All other fixtures including the Women's team won't be finalised until closer to the start of their seasons.
The coaches and players have already started the pre-season and will be ramping things up with the pre-season camp in Portsea in February and some
practice games lined up against strong opposition.
The Fitzroy teams will play an intra-club practice game on Thursday 26 February before three practice games in March and April against St Bernards,
Peninsula and University Blacks. This should really test the team and help the coaches have everyone in prime condition for the season proper.
