Last weekend's Pride Celebration was a chance to show our support to the LGBTIQ+ community and take steps to continue to be more and more inclusive. It was also a chance for us to show support to our local community and the organisations that are doing incredible work in this space. 

Queerspace Youth was the chosen local LGBTIQ+ organisation by both the Fitzroy and Melbourne University playing groups for our Pride Game celebration. Profits from the lunch event and gold coin donation are going to support their work with LGBTIQ+ youth, a cause our Club and players are passionate about.

We can proudly announce that the we have raised close to $2000 for Queerspace from our Pride Game celebration!

Queerspace Youth is a peer-led program for Queer, Trans, Intersex, Gender Diverse or questioning people aged 18-25 years old.

They run monthly support groups and regular events including mental health and sexual health workshops, movie nights, art and music workshops as well as skill and capacity building activities where young people can hang out and make new friends and build community.

Queerspace Youth welcomes young people of all genders and sexualities. They encourage young people to come together and share knowledge about self-care, wellbeing and how to create and contribute to resilient and healthy communities.

We are thrilled to be able to provide some financial support through our Pride Game in partnership with Melbourne University Women's Football Club to help them keep doing the important work they do.
