Fitzroy Football Club has a proud and distinguished history in the VFL, AFL, and now the VAFA. It’s Men’s side has recently earned promotion to A Grade in season 2024.

In 2023, Fitzroy had four Senior Men’s sides, two Senior Women’s, and a growing crop of Under 19s ready for action. Importantly, the club has close links with the Fitzroy Junior Football Club; it is responsible for the development of the vast majority of its Senior playing group.

The club has a solid, experienced and successful coaching panel, a diligent, well structured Board of Directors, a playing group committed to long term success, and a supporter base larger, more vibrant and diverse than any in the competition. The Brunswick Street Oval, soon to be enhanced with a major facilities upgrade, is a special place to play.

The Fitzroy Football Club has a history and culture that sets it apart as a club of choice.

To meet the challenges of A Grade competition, the club is keen to enhance its playing stocks. In particular, it would like to hear from players who have played, or are keen to play, at the highest level the VAFA provides. It is realistic in recognising that our recent promotion will provide challenge and opportunity.
