We're pleased to announce that Nathan Jumeau has been appointed coach of the Fitzroy-ACU Senior Women's Team.
Nathan, who was recently nominated for Life Membership at the 2022 Redlow, has been serving as an assistant coach to the Senior Women's squad under former coach, Michael Harper. Jumeau was mentored by Harper throughout 2022, taking the coaching reins in several games to develop his leadership skills and take the steps towards a senior role.
The club is thrilled to offer this position to Nathan, a long-term Roy and passionate advocate and supporter of women's football.
"To be appointed coach of a club that has given so much to me over the years and to be provided the opportunity to give back to such a great group of women is really exciting" Nathan said.
Nathan takes on the exciting challenge of leading our Senior Women in Premier after being promoted to the top realm of the VAFA competition after making the 2022 Premier B Grand Final.
"I'm looking forward to the Women's squad being back in Premier division in 2023 where I am confident we can build an extremely strong program for season 2023 and years to come. I'm excited to see the continual progression of Fitzroy women's football and the development of junior Fitzroy girls who are to become senior footballers for the first time."
Congratulations Nathan!
