For the second year in a row, the Fitzroy Football Club (incorporating the Fitzroy Reds) has posted a profit at the end of its financial year.
Director and Treasurer, Michael Smale, reported the excellent news at the Clubs AGM on Sunday 27 November, with a profit of just over $10,000.
During the AGM Joan Eddy and Michael Smale were returned as Directors, with Joan to continue as club President for 2017.
Kevin Sharp, who had been appointed to the Board filling a casual vacancy during the year, was appointed to the Board for a three-year term as Director of Marketing and Membership, with a significant focus on sponsorship to work alongside Vice President, Grant Hammond.
The focus now is to shore up sponsorship for the coming season and beyond so that the club can stay in the black as it pushes for promotion to Premier division. The 2017 sponsorship package has been published and anyone who would like to discuss a package should contact Grant or Kevin.
